Regiment 6th Royal Berkshire
Location France, La Boisselle
Entry Still thawing - & as the chalk disintegrates after the frost the trenches begin falling in - while in the clay sector the mud is getting soft & deep. The Brigadier visited the trenches. No 12479 Pte G Windebank B Coy - accidentally wounded, No 17574 Pte H Gould B Coy - wounded. A platoon of Sussex Pioneers worked on our trenches during the night & the Essex wired again. Quiet night.
