Entry Capt FC Heffer - No 12110 Sgt F Hayes & 12811 L/Cpl EW Green - all of B Coy wounded about 7am. Enemy artillery and TM active all day. 2/Lt HR FRESTON - killed by TM about 2pm & No 11154 C Tredfold - B Coy and 17471 WH Thompson - D Coy - wounded during the afternoon. Mr Freston buried at BECOURT CHATEAU at 6pm. 2/Lt RJF Remnant rejoined the Battn from England. This officer left the Battn sick on 16th Sept and has been employed in England as a Bombing instructor. A FGCM was held on No 10790 Pte AD Roach - D Coy at ALBERT.
