War Diary

1916-01-10
Regiment 6th Royal Berkshire
Location France, La Boisselle
Entry No 15349 Pte A Sanders - A Coy - and 12551 Pte TJ Kerrins - B Coy - killed. The day passed fairly quietly - both our own and enemy TM busy; ours firing the larger number of rounds. The German is now using the old oil-drum or "Sausage" & not the aerial-torpedo. These sausages have failed to explode on 6 or 7 occasions since the Battn re-entered the trenches on the 6th. The CO went to MEAULTE to attend a Div Genl Conference.
