Entry Pte Willmott - B Coy tried by FGCM for "Attempting to commit suicide". Pleaded "Guilty". Lt Col AJW Dowell returned from leave - but remained at ALBERT to await the arrival of the new Brigadier. Coy Sgt Maj Knowler rejoined the Battn from the Base. Enemy still active with sausages - whizzbangs and rifle-grenades. Snow fell during the day & night. The weather is extremely cold, & a hard frost has set in. 2/Lt St JB Matthews was buried at CORBIE on this day. 2/Lt JN Richardson represented the Battalion.
