| Entry | The Battn took over the trenches - Sector "D" opposite MAMETZ from 2nd Battn West Riding Regt. On our left Battn of 54th B'de - on our right - Bn of 53rd B'de. The leading Coy was in by 9.30pm - and the other Coys relieved their opposite numbers in rotation - the whole relief being accomplished by 2.30am with no casualties. Troops opposed to us - Bavarians. |
