| Entry | Draft of 128 arrived all of Royal Berkshire Regt. On night of 23rd - 24th a raid was attempted on the enemy trenches. The party consisted of two officers and 36 other ranks under Lt A.W. TAYLOR. The scheme was to cut through the enemy wire with a 36ft torpedo and then let the raiding party through. The torpedo was successfully fired but as all the wire had not been cut and efforts to cut through the remainder by hand was unsuccessful, the party was withdrawn. Casualties 1 o.r. wounded |
