Regiment 5th Royal Berkshire
Location France, In the Trenches
Entry A wet night and morning making trenches very muddy, The attack of the 74th Infantry Brigade from LA BOISSELLE and the 36th Infantry Brigade against ORVILLERS was carried out in the morning. These drew certain amounts of retaliation against our trenches, fortunately we only had 3 men wounded. We endeavoured to assist the attack of these two Brigades by concentrating our Lewis Guns on the head of the MASH Valley. An officer's patrol which went out during the night found many wounded, some were brought in. Casualties Other Ranks Wounded 3.
