Entry Misty and cold. Cleared at 7.15am. Very heavy shell fire in mng. No damage to trenches. Pte Holmes killed in trenches. In evg dug trenches for 2nd line of resistance in vicinity La Metz Fm. 11 Fld Coy continued entanglement. Capt Hunt sent sick to Fld Amb.
