| Entry | More shells into Head Qrs of Left Battn. New house selected about 300 yards further off. We began our Relief of Norfolk Regt in Front Line at 6.30pm. and finished at 11pm. C Coy in Scottish Trench and New Rose. D in Caledonian Trench, B in Grouse Butts, A in George Street, Princes St and Hd Qrs with 2 Platoons in Le Plantin. During Night several shells fell in Le Plantin looking for one gun we had placed there and which fired 100 rounds during night. We transferred our Hd Qrs to the New House which the R.E. had been at work on during day. All furniture from Old Quarters removed to New Quarters. Draft arrived; 31 N.C.O's and men. |
