Entry | Battalion finished relieving Guards shortly after midnight. Men employed strengthening parapets by night, and by day cutting shelters in the chalk for protection from Shell Fire. Support Trenches about 1200 yards North of LOOS. Hill 70 is 2700 yards S.E. and HULLOCH about 2000 yards N.E. As these Trenches are in full view of the Germans no work can be done by day above the parapet. 1 Killed and 6 wounded |
