Regiment 2/4th Royal Berkshire
Location France, Chapelle Duvelle
Entry 4pm. It was discovered that the enemy had evacuated ESTAIRES - Preparations were at once made for occupation. "C" Coy followed by "D" Coy moved forward at about 6pm and took up a position with their right on PONT LEVIS and their left on FARM DE BRETIGNE. They only encountered a little sniping. On the left "A" Coy and "B" Coys had a difficult task, and much further to go, and were not in position until early morning 2am.
