1918-05-12
Regiment 2/4th Royal Berkshire
Location France, Robecq
Entry The day was exceptionally quiet, enemy artillery was very inactive. Visibility in the early part of the day was bad owing to ground mist, but improved rapidly, and by the evening 15 enemy balloons were up, and 9 of our own. About mid-night 9 bombs were dropped on the ST VENANT - ROBECQ ROAD but no damage was inflicted. During the night a ROD Train came up the broad gauge railway running parallel to the ST VENANT - ROBECQ ROAD and removed heavy Gun ammunition from the Dumps SOUTH of Bn HQ. 2 Companies were working as on previous day.
