War Diary

1918-02-12
Regiment 2/4th Royal Berkshire
Location France, Savy Wood
Entry Troops spent the morning resting and cleaning after the tour in the Front Line. In the afternoon the Battalion was engaged on the defensive works on and near MANCHESTER HILL. The afternoon was hazy, but the haze suddenly lifting exposed the working parties to the view of the enemy, who promptly shelled them off the Hill. Work was resumed for three hours at night. Battalion Routine Orders Parts 1 and 11 were published.
