| Entry | Patrols were again sent out during the night but did not meet with any signs of the enemy. Scheme of Defence of the Battalion Sector was issued. Owing to extremely good visibility there was greater activity than usual during the day. The enemy shelled PONTRUET during the afternoon but did not do any damage. Orders for the relief of the Battalion on the following night by the 2/7th ROYAL WARWICKSHIRE REGIMENT were issued. |
