Entry At about 2.30pm the enemy fired three shells into MAISSEMY one of which unfortunately fell amongst a party of "C" Coy men occasioning the following casualties:- 18077 Pte Wilcox E Killed 200844 Pte Pinn H H G Killed 35556 Pte Holmes A E Killed 201519 Cpl Davies A F Wounded (Since died of wounds) 202064 Pte Warr F F Wounded 201432 Pte Hutchins B Wounded 202887 Pte Waters W Wounded 202421 Pte Luscombe W Wounded 21892 Pte Gilson W Wounded 201761 Pte Stevens H Wounded 202146 L/C Rutter E Wounded 202285 Pte Clark H H Wounded 38024 Pte Henson R Wounded 14634 Pte Povey W Wounded 220024 Pte Higton J Wounded 19308 Pte Lester F Wounded 16428 L/C Bristow G Wounded 201035 L/C Wiggins F O Wounded 33419 Pte Tyrell C H Wounded 201111 Pte Frost J Wounded 200971 Pte Povey C Wounded At 5.30pm as a result of orders received, that the strong point line was to be garrisoned in future by two Companies, "D" Coy was moved up to the left of "A" Coy in that line. The usual working parties on the Strong Point Line were out at night. Battalion Routine Orders were published.
