| Entry | The Billeting party had orders overnight to report to the Staff Captain at the office of Major de Cantonment at ATILLY at 9.30am. The Brigade billeting Officer did not arrive until 10.15am and was not ready to allot billets until 11am. Accommodation especially for Officers was limited and had to be allotted very hurriedly as the Battalion commenced to march at 10.30am and arrived just before 12 noon. Troops were billeted in Huts on Western part of the BOIS d' HOLNON immediately east of ATTILY Railway Halt. |
