Entry | An all day scheme under the direction of the Commanding Officer was carried out by the Battalion. The morning's work consisted of two phases:- 1. The relief of troops who had advanced and taken up a position but were not entrenched. 2. Withdrawal from an entrenched position under an overwhelming enemy attack - Reorganisation in support line and counter attack. The afternoon's programme was chiefly training for Officers who had to make a detailed reconnaissance of the ground worked over during the morning 's scheme and supply:- 1.
