Entry The ground remained frost bound and covered with snow with a cold wind blowing. A new Training Programme was issued for collective training. Grounds suitable for General and Tactical Training and a rifle range were selected to the East of the village and a bombing ground to the North. The Battalion was engaged from 9am - 1pm on general training which included a Platoon exercise. In the afternoon working parties were engaged on the Ranges whilst all Officers met the Battalion Commander for training in writing messages and reports. A party consisting of 1 Officer and 30 OR was detailed for a Brigade Fatigue from 5.30 - 7.30pm when it was relieved by a second party of 1 Officer and 50 OR who completed the task by 10pm. A Statement of Accounts of the Christmas dinner fund was issued to all ranks.
