Entry | The Battalion paraded at 10.40am and proceeded to ETRICOURT there entraining with Cookers, Water Carts, Mess Cart and Medical Cart for MARICOURT. Detraining took place at PLATEAU Station and the Battalion then marched to CAPPY via SUZANNE. The remainder of the Transport proceeded by Road. The Billets were bad, the majority of the men being accommodated in ruined houses the wall and ceilings of which were so damaged that little protection was affordable and most of the rooms were in a very dirty condition. Officers accommodation was very limited and of a similar nature to the mens. |
