Entry At 8am an advanced party consisting of the 2nd in Command, Intelligence Officer and 1 NCO and 4 men from each company proceeded via METZ, FINS and EQUANCOURT to LECHELLE and there took over part of GRAZING CAMP. The Battalion moved at 10.30am and arrived at LECHELLE at 2.30pm being accommodated in NISSEN huts excluding Officers Lines. The Transport remained at EQUANCOURT. The night of 22/23 was fine with a bright moon and several aeroplanes visited the neighbourhood of the /camp and bombed the vicinity at intervals during the night.
