Entry Church Parade was held at 11am. The Battalion relieved the 2/8th Bn Worcester Regt in the Right Sector of the Divisional Front. The Signallers moved off at midday and by 5.30pm had established communication between Battalion HQ and Brigade, Artillery and the four Coys. Headquarters and Fighting Transport started at 2.30pm and moved via TRESCAULT, BEAUCAMP and VILLERS-PLOUICH. Companies were led independently and drawing Machine Guns, Ammunition and Rations at Farm Ravine took up their positions, relief being reported complete at 9.20pm. The Battalion took up the following dispositions:- Bn HQ - At the head of Farm Ravine. RAP - On quarry to the North of the entrance of Farm Ravine. "A" Coy - In support in Quarry and Riley Avenue. "B" Coy - In Forward Trench. "C" Coy - In Syme Avenue. "D" Coy - In Syme Sap. The last three coys being on the front line and holding roughly 600 yards of trench.
