| Entry | CHEMICAL WORKS SECTOR ARRAS. Gas was projected over enemy front at 3am. We evacuated a portion of our trenches during this according to programme. At 6.20am in conjunction with operations of the 3rd and 4th Corps on our right a smoke discharge and attack by dummy figures took place. Enemy completely deceived and opened heavy barrage with all his guns. 15th Division on our right raided enemy at 7.15pm. Our trenches shelled in consequence. |
