Entry Our artillery bombarded the enemy's trenches from 3am to 4.10am. In answer to golden rain signals the enemy retaliated on the STENEBEEK. During the afternoon the Battalion was relieved by the 5th KINGS OWN (55th Division). The relief commenced at 3.30pm and was reported complete about 6pm. Companies marched via No 5 Track in small parties to the WESTERN end of YPRES, where they loaded up Lewis guns etc on limbers and marched to No 2 Camp VLAMERTINGHE (A9c.8.8.). This was carried out without any casualties.
