Entry [In trenches at MONCHY LE PREUX] Work in the front line consisted of deepening the remainder of TOOL and ADA trenches, wiring of TOOL trench, and the usual patrolling was carried out. A special wiring party of 110 men under 2nd Lt G L Warlock commenced a systematic wiring of the Support Line (SADDLE TRENCH). Four snipers posts were pushed out from dawn till dusk about a 100 yards in front of the posts. Two victims were claimed during the day. 1 OR killed, 5 OR wounded.
