Entry A patrol under 2 Lieut Carter (C Coy) entered BERTHAUCOURT and found no enemy but again failed to gain touch with Brigade on Right. At 10am a patrol under 2 Lieut MULLINS went to TUMULUS and occupied it. 2 Lieut WORLOCK was put in charge of garrison of PONTRU which consisted of 2 platoons B Coy filling in crater E of BIHECOURT. The Battn was relieved by 19th Durham Light Infantry during the evening and marched to TREFCON. The Battalion marched to VOYENNES via MONCHY-LAGACHE, LANCHY, UGNY l'eguipee, DOUILLY, TOULLE,OFFOY,VOYENNES.
