| Entry | "A" Coy continued work on crater, and road completed ready for heavy traffic by 5pm. "B" Coy erecting "billets" in PERTAIN. "C" Coy engaged on large crater near MORCHIAN 100 feet across and 30 feet deep. A road was constructed by "C" Coy round this and opened for traffic at 6pm 22nd. Lieut H C L HAYWOOD (6th Manch Regt, attached, proceeded to England to report to War Office. |
