Entry All companies employed on re-making and repair of VERMANDOVILLERS - CHAULNES Road. Battalion moved to PERTAIN, recently evacuated by the enemy, who had burnt houses and dug outs, ruined roads, and generally committed wanton destruction everywhere. All shelter for the Battalion had to be erected on arrival.
