Entry Activities Normal. OPERATIONAL COMMITMENTS. GUARDS. In addition to normal Coy and Bn H.Q. Guards, guards are supplied as under:- 13 RPSC (Sec) - 2 NCO's and 6 Men by night. Frontier Control Post ELTEN - 2 NCO's and 6 Men 24 hrs. Frontier Control Post S'HEERENBERG - 1 NCO and 3 Men by day. 115 Indep Inf Bde DPSD - 2 NCO's and 12 Men by day - 2 NCO's and 18 Men by night. Snap Food Patrol - 1 NCO and 4 men once weekly. ROAD AND VEHICLE CHECKS AND CURFEW PATROLS Road & Vehicle checks and Curfew Patrols have been carried out at frequent intervals by all Coys in the Bn Area. OPERATIONS On the night 21/22 Mar 46, the Bn carried out a complete check of all buildings in the HIESFELD Area map ref A 3230. F.S. Personnel and the Chief of Police were present at the search. TRAINING. Companies carried on with normal infantry training during the month. This included weapon training, route marches and organized sports. RECREATION Recreational sports have been encouraged throughout the month, and Bn and Coy football teams have taken part in a number of completions within the Division. The cinema and variety concerts have been well attended. EDUCATION ABCA and BWP have been taught within the Bn. Shortly, a new Education Scheme is to be started by 158 Bde. Men are still proceeding on courses to The Rhine Army College, Gottingen. METEOROLGICAL During the first part of the month, the weather was extremely cold, with several falls of snow. The latter part of the month has been exceptionally mild for the time of the year.
