Location AHMEDNAGAR, Burma
Entry The Bn moved off in convoy at 0800 hrs this morning. (The journey to the staging camp at the 16 M.S. on the POONA - WAI ROAD was accomplished on time. There were three 3 accidents en route 2 D. R. s had accidents with their motor cycles and 1x30 cwt lorry had a collision with another truck coming from a side road and it ran off the road and turned over. The storeman who was riding in the back of the truck was injured. The journey was made very difficult from POONA due to heavy rain which made the roads very difficult to negotiate. On arrival at the staging camp the ground was far too wet for the troops to bivouac which necessitated them sleeping in the trucks. The staging camp was established and run by the 2nd Bn MANCHESTER REGT. Reference to Appendices: See Appendix 1 for more orders
