Entry [11to17] During this period coys patrolled and searched villages, farms, woods, etc in their allotted areas for any incriminating evidence such as illegal possession of fire arms. A few were found and persons responsible were dealt with. There was also a collection of arms from Burgomeisters in the area which had been handed in by DPs. A great many complaints were received from Germans of Poles and Russians stealing food and livestock and also bicycles, some of whom were caught and handed over to Mil Gov. There were also many Germans & DPs arrested for breaking curfew. Coys are frequently being entertained by our unit dance bad and several dances have been held with women from DP camps being invited.
