| Entry | Bn remains in BUCHOLZ after 7 HAMPS (130 Bde) cross canal anc capture own Bn's intended objective. Orders are received for Bde to cross canal and break out of 7 HAMPS br hd and advance towards BREMERHAVEN this being timed for AM 5 May. News received over BBC that German army fighting opposite 21 Army Group has surrendered. This news was received with great jubilation amongst the men and the Commanding Officer a double rum ration to be issued. |
