Entry At 0330 hrs bn moved to FUP West GOURNAY for tk/Inf attack op 'JUPITER'. Order for attack - of op 'JUPITER'. Order for attck - Right D coy, Left B coy, Right rear C coy, Left rear A coy. Bn in posn by 0400 hrs. Bn crossed SL rd GOURNAY - FONTAINE at 0503 hrs with tks leading adv. Rate of adv was controlled by rate of barrage, 100 yds in 3 mins. Bn fought through standing corn, reached its objective at approx 0630 hrs a began digging in. Some PW were captured and evacuated through normal channels. Casualties suffered by bn were light in comparison to those inflicted on the en. Offr casualties were - killed, Capt. J.C. Hale, Lt. J.P. Williams. Wounded, Major R.G. Coleman, Lt. A.D. Powell, Lt. E.F. Cockerill, Lt. B. Hall and Lt. W.I. Smith. Bn was relieved by 1 Worcs (214 Bde) night 10 Jul. Relief began 2330 hrs.
