| Entry | 1200: Lieut-Colonel A.W.S. HOOLEY the Commanding Officer and 150 reps. of the 5th Bn The Wiltshire Regiment today visited this Bn. 1430: During the afternoon a soccer match was held on the Bn Football Ground between the two Bns, this Bn being the winners with 8 goals to 2. 1730: In the evening the "Drums" beat retreat, this was watched by a large crowd and greatly impressed the visiting Bn. To round off the day the Offrs, WO's, Sgts and Cpls were entertained in their respective messes, the ptes being entertained in the Moonrakers Club. |
