WOOLNOUGH MC was appointed Bn 2 IC This day and tomorrow (16 AUG 45) was declared a holiday to celebrate the victory over JAPAN, it was directed that only essential work would be carried out. The 1939/45, Italy, and France and Germany Stars, were issued to all ranks of this Bn who were entitled to them. 1500: A lecture was held in the WELT CINEMA on " Post War Developments in Education", the speaker being Professor A.B. FLETCHER of BRISTOL UNIVERSITY, limited number of men from each Coy attended. A Inter-Bn Drill Competition was held on the GOSLAR Airfield (8571), tps representing the Bn were 8 pl of A Coy and the Carrier Pl.
