Entry 0930: The Commanding Officer held a conference in the Sgts Mess for all offrs, WO's and C/Sgts. The object being, to discuss the proposed TROOPING OF THE COLOUR. On this day, the Bde Commander, BRIGADIER W.H. LAMBERT CBE left the Bde which he had commanded since joining it in PALESTINE. He had been appointed Chief of Staff, 30 Corps. Until the arrival of the new Brigadier, who was unknown, the Commanding Officer of this Bn LIEUT-COLONEL E.A. HEFFORD DSO. assumed command of the Bde. Reference to Appendices: G/1 of July 45.
