Entry Ref Map CENTRAL EUROPE 1:100,000 K6 ROSTOCK The Bn moved to WISMAR. The whole battalion was now concentrated and was accomodated in what were former German "FLAK" barracks. The accomodation was first class and all facilities including electric light were in working order. Whilst in the WISMAR area the tasks of the Bn were as follows. Firstly the maintenance of law and order, secondly the finding, reporting and guarding of V.P's, thirdly the prevention of movement by Russians or Poles towards WISMAR, fourthly the arrest of all German soldiers, sailors and airmen, and lastly the maintenance of contact with all burgomasters in the area. In addition the battalion would have to find ceremonial guards in WISMAR itself and the Drums would have to beat retreat in the main square WISMAR on certain dates. Reference to Appendices: D/6/7 D/2
