| Entry | 1000: MAJOR E.A. BIRK, R.A. lectured to Coy Comds on "WASP" tactics at Bde HQ. The C.O. and Bn 2 i/c called on the Burgomaster and Town Council and received an official address of welcome to the town, to which the C.O. replied in French. 1830: The "Drums" beat retreat in the town square.
