Entry | 1600: The Bn entrained for the move northwards. The journey was made in box cars and lasted 3 days. However it was not as uncomfortable as the previous train journey from TARANTO to SALERNO. Long halts for meals and washing were made at LYON, DIJON and LAON in FRANCE and at ATH in BELGIUM. Arrangements for meals and washing at these halts were first class. |
