| Entry | 0800: The Bn arrived at SALERNO and marched to the Rest Camp where the remainder of the Bde plus Div HQ were concentrated. All ranks were confined to camp for security reasons. 1400: The C.O. held a Coy Comds conference at which he emphasised the need for security on the part of all ranks and he laid down his trg policy for the short while we would be at SALERNO. Stress would be laid on P.T. and route marches. For the latter organised bodies of troops would be allowed out of camp. |
