| Entry | 1200: The Bn with the Drums playing marched from the Staging area to NASSISI STATION where it entrained for SALERNO. The journey was to take about 16 hrs with a long halt at 2100 hrs at POTENZA for hot tea. The journey was an uncomfortable one, the box wagons in which everyone travelled were overcrowded and many had leaking roofs, also the weather was bitterly cold. |
