| Entry | In the afternoon the Bde Commander addressed us and praised the battalion for its conduct in and out of action during the last 12 months. He told the men to work hard in the following training period so that in the next battle they would again further distinction. It was also made known to us at this time that the 2 INNISKILLINGS, one of the other Bns in 13 I.B. was leaving us to go to the 38th (IRISH) BRIGADE in 78th DIVISION, and their place was to be taken by the 5 ESSEX who had also just come over from ITALY from the 4 or 8 IND DIV. |
