Entry A quiet day. 2100hrs: A small German patrol was ambushed by a standing patrol from 'D' Coy and 2 wounded Germans were captured. They belonged to the same party that had ambushed our patrol the previous night and they intended to establish a listening post just outside our wire. 2300: C.O. rejoined the battalion after his leave in CAIRO and resumed command of the Bn vice Major A.W.S. Hooley.
