Location Anzio, Italy
Entry 0230: GERMAN recce patrol crossed MOLETTA RIVER and approached 'C' Coy, who were right on the coast. We opened fire and a German Cpl was left badly wounded in our lines and he died. The others fled, leaving 3 machine pistols and 1 rifle behind. NO identifications were found on the wounded man.
