| Entry | 0700hrs: Night passed without any unpleasant incidents. 15-20 enemy aircraft raided beachhead area, and several bombs fell in our "B" Ech area. 1 man killed and 2 injured. Several vehicles were damaged, some beyond repair. 1000hrs: Visit by Div Comd - Major Gen. P.G.S. GREGSON-ELLIS, OBE. He was impressed by saluting of Bn. Mortaring and shelling of Coys during day but no casualties. Fighting patrol from C Coy found no enemy at their objective, but shot up enemy post some yards away. |
