Entry | 0400hrs: Two British escaped P.O.W came into A Coy lines. They had seen no enemy between GUARDIAGRELE and the Bn Area. 0705hrs: B Coy patrol reports that Germans had come onto Pt 562 (1894). This was confirmed later by civilians who say that about 30 of them arrived there last night and left again at first light taking with them everything they could carry. 0830hrs: An Italian SS agent came into our lines through GUARDIAGRELE and was sent on to Bde. He estimates enemy strength there as one Company with Arty O.P's and A.A. M.G's and he saw three or four guns in RAPINO. 0953hrs: Patrol returns from CIVITELLA and FARA and confirms that no enemy were there during the night. 1150hrs: Civilian reports that a small German raiding party had entered FARA shortly after our patrol left. 1355hrs: B.B.C. Recording Van arrives and records the Adjutant's interrogation of the second FARA patrol. B Coy left CASOLI and took up position in the area of LIMITI 1992. [Signed} A.W.F.
