Entry Bn moved to CASOLI in two colns, Coln A consisting of 12 Carriers and Coln B the remainder of the Bn tpt and T.C.V's. Route:- Coln A FURCI 4878, CUPELLO 5585, SCUOLA AGRARIA 4689, C. SANLILLI 4486, ATESSA 3784, CASOLI. Coln B - GISSI 4679, ATESSA, CASOLI. 0640hrs: Head of Coln passed Bn S.P. Rd Junc 4462. 1300hrs: Head of Coln arrived CASOLI. The bn took over from 5 Para Bn posns NORTH OF CASOLI, its role being to protect the left flank of 13 Corps by holding this area and to harry the enemy by vigorous patrolling. On our right was one Coy of 5 Para Bn on COLLE BLANCO 2296 with 4 Para Bn astride the rd in 2297. On our left were 2 Innisks with Bn HQ and one Coy in CASOLI, a Coy at rd junc 2389, one Coy GESSOPALENA 2283 and one Coy at ROCCASCALENGNA 2584. Facing us were IV Bn 98 Mtn Inf Regt in the PENNAPIEDMONTE 1694 area I Bn 145 Regt and III Bn 146 Regt in GUARDIAGRELE 1898 and to the WEST. In support was a battery of the A/L Bn R.A. and one Platoon of 4.2" mortars from the Bde Sp Coy. The Bn were disposed as follows: - Tac HQ 224916. Rear HQ and HQ Coy in the houses about 228913. A Coy disposed around Tac HQ with a standing patrol at tk junc 219918 B Coy in reserve in CASOLI. C Coy in COLLE DELLA TORRE 2393. D Coy PALAMBARO 1991 with 4.2" Mortars. A Jeep Patrol was to open up the rd CASOLI - PALAMBARO daily. Reference to Appendices: Move Order APPENDIX D.
