Entry 1630hrs: Main Body of Bn left CASTELROMANO. 1930hrs: Head of coln arrived in MONTENERO. On de-bussing coys immediately marched out to their positions and took over. The swollen state of the R. SANGRO made any large scale interference by enemy infantry impossible, and the operation was covered by a strong patrol of 6th SEAFORTHS, N.W. of the STA 0749. 2310hrs: Operation completed and command passed to 2 WILTS.
