Entry Bn moved by march route into ISERNIA which was very badly damaged by GERMAN demolitions and by our own bombing. Bridge on rd leading WEST to U.S. Forces was blown with 130ft gap and only comn was by foot. Our Sappers declared this road would require months to re-open. During this period our patrols reported just missing the GERMANS who were moving back to their SANGRO line behind extensive demolitions. HQ 13 I.B. moved into ISERNIA 2 CAMERONIANS moved to COLLECROCE 1836 2 INNISKS moved to ROMANO 1535.
