| Entry | CORPS COMD and BDE COMD visit Bn HQ about 1030hrs giving orders for earliest possible move fwd. At 1215hrs Coys leave CANTALUPO with following tasks:- A Coy take feature Pt. 901 in 2728 about 1400hrs. About this time contact was made with 2 NORTHAMPTONS leading Bn of 17 I.B. who were in area CASTELPETROSO in 3828. B, C, & D Coys passed through MADDALENA above CIFELLI in 2629 A Coy passed through again with orders to enter ISERNIA in 1932 by 1100hrs following morning. Bn spent very cold night without shelter on MADDALENA. Wireless contact was regained with A Coy about 0800hrs. A Coy entered ISERNIA by 0945hrs 5 Nov. NO contact was made with enemy throughout this Bn move, although A Coy reported hearing enemy movements in ISERNIA during the night. |
