B Coy move to TRECASTAGNE and at 1000hrs push on to BOOMERAND [sic] HILL in 9691. 1600hrs. Lt Col R. KIRWIN GSO. I, 5 Div, visits Adv Bn HQ. During the day we see 2 INNISKS attacking and counter-attacking TREMONTI in 9493. A Coy is shelled losing 1 killed and 8 wounded. Bn HQ & D Coy remain at TROINA until 1900hrs when they move forward along road to 953909, being shelled on the way. C Coy move to 954904 blocking roads leading into TRECASTAGNE from SOUTH. Bn spend quiet night except 10 Pl B Coy on BOOMERANG HILL, who had three casualties inflicted by GERMAN Patrol. |
